Victoria Harbour Promenade

Pedestrian access has changed along parts of the Promenade during safety works.

NewQuay Harbour Promenade

Parts of Victoria Harbour Promenade, Docklands have been closed to public access due to safety concerns.

A recent assessment has identified some of the timber piles supporting the promenade may require upgrades – and temporary barriers are now in place to help guide the community.

Residents, businesses and boat owners continue to have access to the upper promenade, allowing you to walk safely and access your homes and businesses - while the lower promenade is closed for further investigation.

Victoria Harbour Promenade is co-owned by City of Melbourne and Development Victoria External link, and we are working together to undertake further testing to identify necessary rectification work.

Once the assessment is complete, we will share more details.

Works will be carefully planned to minimise disruption to the community, business and marina users where possible, and we appreciate your patience while we keep the area safe.
