We have versatile options for hire, such as single lane or entire pool hire, Mikvah bath hire and multi-purpose rooms for meetings and events.

Book a pool or lap lane

From events to school bookings, we can tailor make a solution to suit your needs when it comes to pool hire. Explore some of our offerings below. 

You can book a lap lane in our main pool, which is always open and monitored by a lifeguard or book our entire program pool for yourself. The program pool is the original women’s pool from the 1800s and is separate to the main pool. It is closed to the public except for bookings.

July 2025 to June 2026

  • Main pool single lap lane cost per hour: $61
  • Program pool cost per hour: $64.60
  • Dedicated lifeguard: $102.50

Individuals will be required to pay a casual swim entry price in addition to the pool hire price. Program pool bookings may require a dedicated lifeguard as per costs above.

Melbourne City Baths offers tailor-made school swimming lesson programs throughout the year with flexible schedules to suit your school’s needs. Our 15-metre program pool and 30-metre pool provide appropriate learning spaces for students of all ages. To discuss details and costs, please complete the form below.

We offer a range of multipurpose rooms and areas at Melbourne City Baths, which can be booked for your exclusive use. Find out more about our meeting rooms and religious bath. 

Our multipurpose room has a private bathroom, drink fountain, split system heating/cooling and a separate private entrance from Swanston Street.

  • Full day: $384.40

Dimensions: 9 m long x 6.3 m wide with tables, chairs and a projector setup available
