Road Management Plan

City of Melbourne’s Road Management Plan informs our responsibilities, maintenance standards and inspection protocols for managing our road assets and civil liability.

Blurred lights of city traffic at night with skyscrapers

In our municipality, there are 251km of roads and 350km of footpaths – the Road Management Plan helps us to ensure that these are safe and well-maintained for everyone who visits, lives or works in the City of Melbourne.

The current Road Management Plan has been in effect since 1 September 2021 and we are required by legislation to review the plan every four years.
