Melbourne City Baths reception

Melbourne City Baths offers three membership tiers, each with various pricing options, allowing you to personalise your experience and get the most value for your money.

Active Melbourne memberships

Active Melbourne Plus

An Active Melbourne Plus membership gives you the highest access to Melbourne City Baths facilities and services, including reciprocal rights to North Melbourne Recreation Centre External link, Carlton Baths External link and Kensington Community Aquatic and Recreation Centre External link, PLUS Reformer Pilates.

There are Prime 60+, Concession and Student options available under the Active Melbourne Plus membership. Requirements and restrictions for each of these can be found in the comparison table below.

The benefits of an Active Melbourne Plus membership include:

  • unlimited gym access
  • unlimited group fitness classes, including Reformer Pilates
  • unlimited access to pool, spa and sauna
  • free locker use
  • access to change rooms including showers, hair dryers, straighteners (female only), ironing boards and more
  • free squash court hire at any time, plus a discounted entry fee to bring a friend
  • 12 consultations with a gym instructor each year to keep you on track to achieve your goals
  • welcome pack. 

Active Melbourne

An Active Melbourne standard membership gives you the same access to Melbourne City Baths facilities and reciprocal rights as an Active Melbourne Plus membership. It does not include access to Reformer Pilates. If you don't require access to Reformer Pilates classes, an Active Melbourne standard membership will provide you with great value.

There are Prime 60+, Concession, Student and Youth options available under the Active Melbourne standard membership. Requirements and restrictions for each of these can be found in the comparison table below.

The benefits of an Active Melbourne Plus membership include:

  • unlimited gym access
  • unlimited group fitness classes (excluding Reformer Pilates)
  • unlimited access to pool, spa and sauna

Aquatic

With this membership, you can use the pool, spa and sauna as often as you like at Melbourne City Baths, North Melbourne Recreation Centre External link, Carlton Baths External link and Kensington Community Aquatic and Recreation Centre External link.

  • unlimited use of the pool, spa and sauna
  • free locker use

Corporate memberships

We offer corporate membership options to Melbourne-based businesses, which can help organisations to keep their staff fit and healthy. There are a range of options including personal training, gym, group fitness or pool access. You can elect usage and access requirements to suit your needs.

Reciprocal rights

As a member of Melbourne City Baths, you have reciprocal access to the YMCA-managed facilities listed below. Please show your wristband or card at the reception of the facility to gain access.

Please note: Youth Members and Multi Visit Pass holders are not entitled to reciprocal rights.

Frequently asked questions

If you are a prime member at Melbourne City Baths, the same restrictions apply at the other Active Melbourne facilities. If you are on any Active Melbourne membership, there are no time restrictions within centre operating hours.

Please visit the centre where you joined for all enquiries or requests relating to your membership - whether you’re wanting to change personal details, change membership type, cancel or suspend.

Book in for your gym appointments (including lifestyle consultations and exercise programs) at the centre at which you joined. Fees apply for gym appointments at other Active Melbourne facilities.
