NewQuay Promenade

Pedestrian access has changed along parts of the Promenade during safety works.

NewQuay Wharf

City of Melbourne has identified that some of the piles supporting NewQuay Promenade may require upgrade works to ensure community safety and allow further assessment.

We’ve put up temporary fencing at NewQuay Promenade while further checks are carried out over the next few weeks, including underwater inspections to understand what repairs may be required.

While these works are underway, pedestrian access to parts of the promenade has changed. Temporary barriers and signage are in place to help guide people safely around the affected areas.

This work forms part of our ongoing maintenance program and builds on pile repair works completed in 2025.

Thank you for your patience as we complete these important works.
