It involves the redevelopment of 44 existing public housing towers across inner Melbourne, including sites in the City of Melbourne. These are sites that are owned by the Victorian Government, within the City of Melbourne municipality.
Multiple sites in the City of Melbourne included in the project include:
- Elgin Towers in Carlton, including 141 Nicholson Street and 20 Elgin Street, Carlton (delivery underway)
- The North Melbourne precinct, including 33 Alfred Street, 12 Sutton Street, 159 Melrose Street and 76 Canning Street, North Melbourne (planning and relocation underway)
- The Kensington precinct, including 56 Derby Street and 94 Ormond Street, Kensington (future project)
- The Carlton Precinct, including 478 Drummond Street, 480, 510 and 530 Lygon Street, Carlton (future project)
In addition, the Flemington Precinct redevelopment (planning and relocation underway), within the City of Moonee Valley, borders the City of Melbourne.

If you have any questions about the project and relocation, the Homes Victoria's Relocation Team External link are available at 33 Alfred Street, North Melbourne. Drop-in sessions run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 4pm. You do not need to make an appointment. You can also reach them by email at relocationsteam@homes.vic.gov.au.
