$2 swims for summer

City of Melbourne residents can enjoy discounted pool entry this summer at our outdoor pools.

The $2 swims program is back from 1 December 2025 to 28 February 2026, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) at Carlton Baths External link and North Melbourne Pool External link.

We are also providing free swimming lessons to 600 City of Melbourne residents through an intensive learn-to-swim program, helping residents of all ages develop essential water safety skills. Free lessons will take place at Melbourne City Baths and the newly opened Kensington Community Aquatic and Recreation Centre, through January 2026.

City of Melbourne residents can register their interest in free swimming lessons online from Monday 8 December. Places are limited.

The $2 swim offer is available to City of Melbourne residents.

No however, if a swimming pool reaches capacity we’ll move to a ‘one in, one out’ policy which may mean waiting before you enter. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to keep things safe and comfortable for everyone who wants to swim. 

No. Each swim is an individual purchase only. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you for your swim.
